Unity Requires LOVE

Unity Requires Love

I had a dream last night and the The Lord was showing me that unity can be reached in His church through LOVE. Love is only found in relationship. Deep relationship, not shallow ones. We have all been made uniquely. He highlighted uniquely. He said SO unique if we really knew each other well enough, no two of us is the same. There is no need for competition. It is not an either/or. It is a both/and. I have made each of you in my likeness. When you come together around that Christ likeness you will find unity. Stop looking at everyone else and say “ they should be like me” or “they should be like this”. Instead, start looking at each other and say “look at how they are like Him”. Delight in them as I delight in you.

But you will not be able to do this until you know who YOU are in ME. How I designed you and how much I love you. If you would seek me and press into who you are you will find your true self and you will also find more of me. I could feel His delight in highlighting how creative He is and how He considered every part of us as he formed us in the womb. He loves every part of us, all of us. He wants us to do the same for each other.

LOVE is what knits us together. His love is AGAPE love. It is patient, kind, long suffering, does not boast, is not proud, delights in truth, not injustice. His Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Agape love is the deepest form of love, as we love God and He loves us. Agape love/His love is an unconditional love that persists regardless of circumstance.

I have been burdened about so many things lately, but asked him about Stephon Clark. He said I love Stephon. I love his family and his friends. He also said he loves the officers who protect us here on earth. I said but Lord how do we unite over this? He said set aside the systems and the politics for now and focus on LOVE. Love your brothers and sisters well. What would you want people to do if your son died? You would want them to Love you and mourn with you and lift you up while you are down. I sent my Son so that you can live. It’s the ultimate sacrifice. This should not be taken lightly. Neither should Stephons death. Please love each other well.

I Corinthians 13:4 “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy. It does not boast, it is not proud. 5It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8Love never fails. …..13 And now these three remain, Faith, Hope and Love. But the greatest of these is Love
